Les linteaux creux sont utilisées pour dériver les forces qui agissent au-dessus d’une baie dans un mur ou une porte. C’est une solution rentable et façile à placer par l’ouverture creuse.
L’usage des linteuax creux va accélérer l’exécution de la maçonnerie : il ne nécessite pas de coffrage,ainsi le mur peut être maçonner sans délai.

Le type le plus populaire des combi-linteaux creux est celui de 14 cm largeur avec un poids de 18 kg/mc et peut être placé à la main par 1 ou 2 personnes. Les combi-linteaux creux existent en trois largeurs : 9, 14 et 19 cm.
